iPhone 3G is Here

Steve Jobs today announced the much anticipated iPhone 2.0 featuring 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the new App Store. Most features come with very little surprise as everyone and their mother knew that 3G is coming since the original iPhone was announced last June. What does come as a surprise is the new lower price tag on both models. New iPhone 3G will retail for $199 for a 8GB model, and $299 for the 16GB unit. There were no mention of a 32GB model, but the word on the street is that we can expect one to hit your nearest ATT and Apple stores this holiday season.

Another thing to note that from now on you will only be able to buy the iPhone in person and it would have to be activated on the spot. Our guess is that the demand for the new unlocked iPhone will be very high, and expect to pay the old price if your shopping for the phone to jailbreak.

Ladies and Gentlemen mark your calendars. iPhone will be available July 12, 2008.
